Thunder rumble the Ponies 10-3

Kevin Taylor getting the start in left on Friday.

The largest crowd in franchise history on hand, a whopping 7,488 fans.

And they’d be in for a show.

The Thunder had put up 10 runs against the Ponies three times already this season.

Let’s go ahead and make that four.

1st inning, one on for Trey Amburgey.

He shoots a laser over the wall in left.

That gets things started.

2-0 Thunder.

Later that inning, Gosuke Katoh at the plate.

He flies one to left.

Taylor can’t get to it.

That brings home two more runs, it’s 4-0 Trenton, and they just kept rolling.

Top three, 5-1 at this point.

Zack Zehner with a bouncer to short.

Andrew Ely’s throw not in time.

Ryan McBroom scores. 6-1.

Trenton would rough up Harol Gonzalez in his second Double-A start to the tune of 10 runs on 13 hits in five innings.

The Thunder rumble the Ponies with a 10-3 win.

They meet at NYSEG once again on Saturday.

That one slated for 6:05 pm.
