It’s the beginning of the biggest week of the NFL year.
The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams are set to meet Sunday in Atlanta to decide who will be the kings of football for the season.
All this week, thanks to members of our Nexstar family, we’ll be bringing you coverage from Atlanta, starting tonight leading and into the weekend.
To kick-off our Super Bowl week, Kevaney Martin takes you along for a ride on one of Atlanta’s biggest attractions.
“Never done this before. This is just amazing and I mean you get excited as soon as you get out of your car because all you see is smiling faces.’
A FERRIS WHEEL STRATEGICALLY LOCATED IN CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK PROVIDES ITS PASSENGERS WITH A UNIQUE SKYLINE VIEW OF THE CITY.
“We’re 200 feet in the air, that’s how high we are so it makes us special because you can see all of Atlanta being that high in the air.”
DURING SUPER BOWL WEEK, THE ATTRACTION DECIDED TO DECK OUT 32 OF ITS 42 CLIMATE-CONTROLLED GONDOLAS WITH EACH NFL TEAM’S LOGOS FOR THE FIRST TIME.
AND EACH GONDOLA WILL TAKE YOU TO THE TOP TO SEE SOME BREATHTAKING VIEWS.
“You can the State Farm Arena, you can see the Georgia Aquarium, the park.”
SO I DECIDED TO TAKE A LOOK MYSELF.
AND A FEW MINUTES LATER, ALL OF ATLANTA WAS BENEATH MY FEET AND THANKFULLY IT WAS ALSO A HIT WITH SUPER BOWL FANS OF ALL AGES WHO GOT A BIRD’S EYE VIEW OF ATLANTA AS WELL.
“It was weird at first because we stopped at the top and it’s high. We saw the aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, the Olympic Ring.”
“This is my wife’s first time riding. I was doing the pictures. I’m scared of heights, but this is amazing with all the Super Bowl, I mean with all the NFL teams, oh this is great. This is great.”
