SCC’s dynamic duo put in work as Hauer and Maerkl combined for 53 points, with Vaughn adding another 15.

The Saints move on with an impressive 92-78 win over FDR.

After the game, Maerkl talked about finishing this run, and capping off her senior season with a state title.

“Every day in practice, the day before a game practice when we go play in the playoff rounds where it’s win or go home, coach always screams right after we break, ‘Seniors, don’t make this your last practice’. So, me and Julia really take that to heart, and we just want to leave it all out on the floor this year,” she said.

SCC will take on Sewanhaka of Section VIII bright and early Saturday morning.

A 9:00 am tip off for the Saints and Indians at Hudson Valley Community College.

The Saints are also joined by Watkins Glen and South Kortright from Section IV in the state semis.
