Rumble Ponies shut down RubberDucks 16-3

After dropping two-out-of-three to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats late last week, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies were able to bounce back and sweep the Erie SeaWolves a few days later.

This evening, they began a three-game set with the Akron RubberDucks on the road.

What a start to the series it was for Bingo.

It didn’t take long for the scoring to start, and it seemed like it wouldn’t stop.

Every single Ponies position player would score at least one run, and all but one would have at least a single hit.

And incredibly enough, not a single run scored came via a home run.

Lost in all the offense was a stellar outing from Anthony Kay, who gave up only one hit and fanned 10 in six innings.

Binghamton wins 16-3.

The Ponies and Ducks take to the diamond again on Tuesday evening for game two of the series.

First pitch is set for 6:35 pm.
