Rumble Ponies down Thunder 3-2

Good crowd on hand welcoming a Trenton team to town boasting the second-lowest team ERA in the league.

But tonight, it was all about the Ponies pitching.

After Trenton scored twice in the first inning, sending starter Ricky Knapp out of the game, Binghamton relievers David Roseboom, Daniel Zamora, and Ryder Ryan would combine to toss eight scoreless innings, allowing only four hits.

As for the Ponies, they would plate three runs of their own in the first two innings, and take a 3-2 lead.

They had a chance to expand on it in the 7th.

Two on for Andrew Ely, and he grooves this one.

But, Trey Amburgey makes a nice grab to rob him.

They didn’t need the extra runs though.

Roseboom gets the win as the Ponies take it, 3-2.

Binghamton will look to keep rolling on Friday in game two of this series.

First pitch is at 7:05 pm.
