Purple Tornado breeze by Indians 66-42, win Class B title


Game number three of the day was for the girl’s Class B title.

#5 Owego looking to avenge a 35 point loss to #4 Norwich in the STAC finals last month.

Then, another deep bomb from Donovan to Coleman for two.

Coleman scored a team-high 17 points, helping Owego get out in front after the 1st.

But, Norwich went off in the 2nd, dropping 28 points on the Indians.

Norwich still on the attack.

Then, here’s Flynn again.

This time, drives right in on Coleman for the lay up.

Besides the lop-sided score, the most shocking moment in this came with 4:29 left in the third, when Kaci Donovan fouled out following a technical foul.

Regardless, Norwich would not be denied.

Behind a 15 point effort from Flynn, Norwich would capture their first section title since 2004.

The Purple Tornado rip through Owego by a final of 66-42.

Norwich begins it’s state tournament play on Saturday at Onondaga CC at 5:30 pm against South Jefferson of Section III.
