With the school year starting to creep towards a close, many seniors are finalizing their decisions on where they want to go to college.

On Tuesday afternoon, another local student-athlete made their commitment official.

Maine-Endwell senior Molly Olzinski signed her National Letter of Intent to swim at the University of Maine.

Olzinski is a three-time Section IV Class B champion in the 100 breaststroke and a four-time New York State qualifier.

She holds the school record for the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 100 breaststroke.

Molly is also a member of the National Honor Society and a five-year New York State scholar athlete.

Once she signed on the line, Molly spoke about the feeling of making it official in front of friends and family.

“It was such a big deal for me. This is a great experience. I’m so lucky to be able to have this. I don’t know, it’s super exciting for me. I can’t wait to go into the next chapter of my life. It’s really exciting,” she said.

In her next chapter, Molly will be studying Biomedical Engineering at Maine come the fall.

Congratulations to Molly and her family, and best of luck as a Black Bear!
