Rumble Ponies downed 9-2 by Curve

Local Sports

It was anything but a lights out performance by the Rumble Ponies Tuesday.

They wrapped up a quick two game set with the Altoona Curve.

The Curve jumped out to an early lead in the first.

Will Craig rips a double to left to bring in the game’s first run.

Then, next batter, Jin-De Jhang singles home two more as Altoona took a 3-0 lead after the first half inning.

Let’s head to the second now, and Tomas Nido provided the lone bright spot of the night for Binghamton, smacking his 5th home run of the season.

He’s also add an RBI double in the 9th.

But, the Curve would roll in this one, winning 9-2.

The Ponies start a nine game road trip in Hartford on Wednesday.

First pitch is at 7:05 pm.
