On Monday, Binghamton Devils fans learned that the team will have a new points leader come the 2018-19 season.
Defenseman Jacob MacDonald, who led the B-Devs with 55 points, 35 assists, and 11 power play goals, signed a two-year contract with the Florida Panthers.
MacDonald certainly earned his new contract after the season he had.
He led all AHL defenders with 20 goals, was voted to the AHL All-Star Classic, as well as being named a 2017-18 AHL First All-Star Team member.
The 25-year-old Cornell alum has appeared in over 100 games at both the ECHL and AHL level, but is still searching for his first opportunity at the NHL level.
