With the sectional champions crowned and the state playoffs underway, we take a look at the updated high school basketball state rankings.
On the boys side, Section IV has no representatives in Class AA or A.
Class B features Section IV champion Owego slotted at 24.
In Class C Unadilla Valley is ranked 11th.
Meanwhile Class D features a slew of Section IV representatives.
Marathon sits at 9th, Edmeston at 10th, South Kortright in 12th and Morris finding themselves at 18th.
Switching gears now to the girls rankings, Ellmira is the lone Section 4 school on the AA list at 18th.
In Class A Seton sits at 13th.
Class B we have a pair of representatives with Norwich in 2nd and Owego at 19th.
A heavy Section IV presence in Class C we got Watkins Glen in 3rd, Unatego in 11th, Bainbridge-Guilford in 13th, Newfield at 16th and Moravia coming in at 18th.
We got four more in Class D.
South Kortright in 3rd, Franklin in 13th, Stamford at 16th and Downsville in 18th.
Section IV girls hoops overall represented very well in the latest state rankings.
