High school basketball recap, 12/7/17

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - A lot of high school hoops action on Thursday evening in the area.

We begin at Chenango Forks High School.

The Blue Devils hosting the Oneonta Yellow Jackets.

First half action, Teddy McGraw from his backside gets it to Tanner Beang for the lay-in and one.

More from Beang now, knocks down an open three off the Evan Sitts pass, and they were off and running.

Forks trying to keep pace with this quick Oneonta team.

Loop Haqq gets that one to go.

Then, Haqq finds Matthew Paske under the basket for the score.

But the Yellow Jackets continued to swarm the basket all night long, getting a great effort from Beang as Oneonta goes on to win it by a final of 73-41.

Now to downtown Binghamton for the next two games.

First, at Binghamton High where the Patriots welcomed in the Union-Endicott Tigers.

Second half action, Matt Polemeni on the attack for the Tigers, and a strong push to the hoop pays off. He gets it to go and one.

Now, Sadeeq Tarry with the pull-up three, swish.

He's fired up. He'd go for 21 points.

But here comes Binghamton.

Isaiah Rogers tracks down the loose ball, and lays it in.

Then, from up top, Damani Mizell drills a three.

The Patriots would power their way through this one, with the help of 15 points from Brandon Sprouse and Isaiah Rogers.

Binghamton takes this one by a final of 66-55.

Final stop of the night, over at S.C.C.

The Seton Catholic Saints and the Susquehanna Valley Sabers.

Great ball movement here from the Saints, eventually getting it to Tommy Dempsey from downtown, and he buries it!

Sabers looking to keep up with Seton.

Jarred Freije takes it all the way to the basket.

He led SV with 15 points.

But it was all Seton Catholic in this one.

The steal by Brett Rumpel, goes up strong, and finishes.

Then, Rumpel creates another turnover, and nails the pull-up J from the top of the key.

Leo Gallagher will clean up after his missed shot and put it home.

He finished with 15 of his own.
