Monday was a very busy day for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
They began a five-game, three-day series with the Erie SeaWolves, which includes two double headers, one of which was played Monday.
However, despite the chaos, the team received some exciting news from the league.
The Eastern League released the list of it’s 2019 All-Stars, and five Rumble Ponies made the cut.
Patrick Mazeika, Harol Gonzalez, Adonis Uceta, Braxton Lee, and Sam Haggerty are heading to Richmond in a couple weeks.
This is Mazeika’s third-straight trip to an All-Star Game, this and last year with Binghamton and before that with St. Lucie in High-A.
Gonzalez is an All-Star for the second time in his professional career, having also been named to the New York-Penn League team in 2016.
Uceta makes his third professional All-Star appearance, first in Double-A.
He was also an All-Star with Columbia in 2017 and in the Dominican Summer League in 2014.
Lee makes his second Double-A All-Star team, having represented the Montgomery Biscuits in 2017 in the Southern League.
And Haggerty is given the distinction of being an All-Star for the second time professionally, having been named to High-A’s Carolina League team in 2017 while with the Lynchburg Hillcats.
However, Haggerty is currently on the Injured List and will not be able to participate in Double-A’s midsummer classic.
