Devils hold off Phantoms 2-1

The Binghamton Devils were on the road tonight to take on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

After a scoreless first period, the BDevs struck twice in the second, getting goals from Ryan Schmelzer and Nick Lappin.

The Devils shutout bid came to an end with just under seven minutes left to play thanks to a Zach Palmquist goal.

Both Lappin and Brandon Gignac, with two assists, had multi-point nights.

Evan Cormier made 30 saves as the Devils outlast the Phantoms, 2-1.

The BDevs are back home tomorrow as they host the Cleveland Monsters for a 7:05 pm puck drop.
