It’s been five days since the Binghamton Devils last played a game.
That one was a 6-3 loss to the Hershey Bears, a loss that prevented Binghamton from winning what would have been their third-straight game, something they haven’t done this season.
Tonight, the B-Devs took the ice in Syracuse against the Crunch to kick off the first of three-straight games this weekend, a chance to possibly pick up that three-game win streak.
I can now tell you that won’t be the case.
The Crunch lit the lamp twice in the first period, and didn’t look back.
Syracuse added two more goals in the second and one in the third for good measure.
Binghamton managed only 16 shots on goal the entire game as the Crunch take care of the Devils by a final of 5-0.
MacKenzie Blackwood made 27 stops in this one.
The Devils are right back at it tomorrow at the Floyd L. Maines Arena when they host the Utica Comets at 7:05 pm.
Be sure to bring a teddy bear if you’re planning on attending the game as it’s the team’s annual Teddy Bear Toss Night.
