Cornell and men’s basketball coach Bill Courtney have parted ways.

The Big Red athletics department confirmed that it had declined to renew Courtney’s contract on Monday afternoon after reports surfaced on ESPN.

Courtney has a 60-113 record over the course of six seasons.

“I appreciate Coach Courtney’s diligent efforts and his dedication to our student athletes over the past six years,” said Athletic Director Andy Noel.  “He is a first-class individual and I wish him success in his future endeavors.”

Earlier on Monday, Jeff Goodman reported on the departure via Twitter, citing sources.

The school says it is looking for a successor now.
