It was a busy weekend for both Binghamton University basketball teams.
Beginning the men’s team, they were at the Events Center hosting the New Hampshire Wildcats in both teams’ America East opener.
Freshman Sam Sessoms continues to be sensational as he dropped 21 points, his second straight game with over 20 points.
Caleb Stewart added 15 points, and J.C. Show netted 10 points.
As a whole, the Bearcats shot 50 percent from the field to propel them to a 69-58 win over UNH to open up conference play.
BU now heads to Stony Brook on Wednesday to play the Seawolves.
Tip-off is at 7:00 pm.
As for the BU women’s team, they too found success on Saturday.
The Bearcats wrapped up a 7-day, 3-game road trip at UNH as they looked to snap a six-game losing skid.
Carly Boland had a career day as she finished with a game-high 23 points, shooting 8-of-9 from the field and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
Rebecca Carmody finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench, while Annie Ramil also set a new career high in points with 10.
Binghamton beats New Hampshire 71-62.
That win moves them to 1-1 in America East play as they are now home for their next three games, starting Wednesday.
The Bearcats will host Stony Brook at 7:00 pm inside the Events Center.
