Indians take Class B championship over S.C.C. 54-51

Owego and #16 Seton Catholic Central for the boy’s B title.

It was the Kobe Bogart show in this one.

He went to work early on, as he dropped 15 points in the opening quarter, single-handedly outscoring Seton while guiding Owego to a 20-6 lead after one.

But, the defending section champs weren’t going to go quietly.

Brett Ruempel with a tremendous take as the Saints came storming back, scoring 26 in the 2nd.

The back-and-forth battle continued into the second half.

More from Bogart here, knocks down the pull up jumper.

But, here comes Seton. 4th quarter, Tommy Dempsey with stupid, ridiculous range, hitting an NBA three to give the Saints their first lead of the game.

Then, Dempsey does it again. Seton up with 3 to go.

But, this three from Evan Hamed put it away for Owego.

One last try for SCC. Marcus Dyes from half court won’t go.

Bogart explodes for 34 points as the Indians take home the Class B championship.

They knock off the Saints 54-51.

Up next for Owego, Lowville in Syracuse on Saturday at noon in the state regionals.
