High school lacrosse rankings, 4/22/19


A lot of high school games played over the weekend in many sports, including lacrosse.

Let’s take a look at the latest New York State boy’s and girl’s lacrosse rankings released earlier today.

We begin with the guy’s and only two teams ranked from Section IV between all four classes.

In Class A, the Corning Hawks crack the top 10 this week, sitting at 10 with an 8-1 record.

Then, in Class D, the Chenango Forks Blue Devils stay put at #2.

Forks is currently 7-1 on the season.

Chenango Valley was named an Honorable Mention in Class D this week, as the Warriors are currently 5-2 this spring.

Now to the girl’s rankings, and a similar situation as far as Section IV teams.

In Class A, the Ithaca Little Red move up four spots to #15 this week.

They improved to 7-1 on the year.

Also moving up this week is Maine-Endwell.

The Spartans jumped up five spots this week to #15 in Class C.

M-E went 4-0 this past week, improving their overall record to 9-1.
