High school girls basketball recap, 12/10/18


The defending Class B Federation champs, Susquehanna Valley, hosting Chenango Forks in their home opener.

A lot of Maeve Donnelly in this one.

Here, she’s the recipient of some good passing.

She lays it in for two.

Then, she gets it right back for another two.

She got the scoring started with the game’s first baskets.

She was getting it done on the other side of the floor too.

Forks trying to get on the board, but Donnelly wasn’t having any of it.

Block after block after block.

Behind an outstanding effort all over the court by Donnelly, the Sabers go on to win it by a final of 53-36.

Now over to Binghamton High School where the Patriots welcomed in the Maine-Endwell Spartans.

She finds Xaneya Thomas down low for the basket.

Kaziah Ross carries up, finds a spot she likes, pulls up from three, and buries it.

Ross led Binghamton with 16 points.

But, the Spartans were in control.

Kaetlyn L’Amoreaux with the step back three from the corner.

M-E was, once again, led by senior Ashlynn McKnight.

She finished with a double-double, including a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Maine-Endwell picks up the win, 57-47.
