The Binghamton Devils play in one of the more competitive divisions in the AHL, as the 8 team North Division separated top-to-bottom by just 10 points.
The BDevs went into their game Saturday night against the Cleveland Monsters trailing them by two points for 5th in the division
The Devils and Monsters split the scoring in the first, with Marian Studenic netting his 10th goal of the season.
The rookie is a co-leader in points for the BDevs with 23.
In the second, however, Binghamton exploded for 4 goals in the period.
They had to outlast a ferocious comeback attempt from Cleveland in the third, as the Monsters got it to within a goal with just over two minutes left.
But, Evan Cormier made the saves when he needed to, stopping 32 shots as the Devils beat Cleveland 5-4.
That brings the win streak up to four games.
Binghamton will look to extend it to five on Wednesday as they welcome in the Hershey Bears for a 7:05 pm puck drop.
