Already down to their third option under center with quarterback Derek Anderson, the Bills offense suffered another blow early in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Star running back LeSean McCoy left the game after getting upended while going out of bounds. He will not return after suffering a head injury, the team announced.

On the second play from scrimmage, McCoy bounced toward the sideline, was hit and then landed awkwardly out of bounds.

The running back exited after only two carries and only gained one yard.  The Bills currently trail the Colts 6-0 in the second quarter.
