Stephanie Maisonet, the mother of LeSean McCoy’s six year old son, filed an affidavit in Fulton County Court claiming that she helped to cover up the home invasion at McCoy’s residence in July and that McCoy has repeatedly abused their son.

The home invasion led to the assault of Delicia Cordon, McCoy’s ex-girlfriend. She was living at the Milton, Georgia home at the time with her 16 year old son.

Cordon filed a civil suit against McCoy, accusing him of arranging the home invasion. Maisonet’s affadavit is a part of that case.

Maisonet says if she helped McCoy with the home invasion, he would allow her to enroll their son in a Miami school that McCoy had earlier protested. She also alleges that McCoy’s mother persuaded Maisonet to be a character witness for McCoy in the case. She agreed because she felt it was “in the best interest of her son”.

McCoy posted a response on Instagram calling the accusation outrageously inaccurate and offensive. He says his son is “my whole life”.

Maisonet says her son would come home from visits to McCoy with bruises and McCoy would provide “outlandish excuses” to explain them. She called McCoy a monster.

In an instagram post of her own, Maisonet adds that her son says he saw McCoy hit his ex-girlfriend twice.

The new accusation is unlikely to change McCoy’s playing status if it remains confined to the civil suit. However, if Milton police consider this accusation new evidence in the criminal case surrounding the home invasion, things could potentially change.

McCoy and the Bills are scheduled to practice and meet the media again on Wednesday.
