September 23: We’re back with another bird today, Merlin, the Eurasian Eagle Owl.
Like his name implies, this owl is native to both Europe and Asia.
This species of owl, like all owls, are nocturnal and eat birds and small mammals.
The Eurasian Eagle Owl, however, has the largest national wing span of all, stretching from 4 to 6 feet long.
