The CEO of Visions Federal Credit Union is receiving a top honor from the Boy Scouts of America.

Ty Muse has been selected as this year’s Broome County Distinguished Citizen Award administered by the Boy Scouts of America Baden-Powell Council.

Specifically, Muse is recognized for his work in raising awareness in financial literacy, especially in young people along with his charitable contributions.

Muse, a former Boy Scout, says he’s proud of the prestigious award.

“I’m really excited about this honor.  I look at all of the gentlemen that have had this award in the past and many of them are my friends and mentors.  Many of them give me a lot of guidance on how to embrace this community and be a part of it.  It’s truly an honor.,” said Muse.

Muse will be honored at the the Boy Scouts of American Recognition Dinner held May 2nd at the McKinley in Endicott
