VINES to Host Two Workshops: Harvesting for Beginners and Grilling with Fresh Veggies 

Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments (VINES) is hosting a series of free educational workshops related to gardening and food preservation. Two workshops are coming up in the next two weeks:

  • Harvesting for Beginners— Saturday, July 21st from 1PM-2:30PM, Binghamton Urban Farm, 16 Tudor Street, Binghamton. Are you new to gardening? Learn about peak harvesting times, various harvesting methods, gardening tips and more!
  • Grilling with Fresh Veggies Workshop—Tuesday, July 24th from 6PM-7:30PM, First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, 2 Main Street in Johnson City. Tired of using your oven to cook in the summer heat? Join us for our grilling with fresh veggies workshop and learn how to prepare fresh and flavorful food! Learn how to make a marinade. Hands on learning, samples, recipes and more.
