BINGHAMTON, New York – 6/15/2018 – CSG Hemp has teamed up with the Binghamton University Office of Entrepreneurship to host the first annual Southern Tier Hemp Summit. The event will be hosted at the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator located at 120 Hawley St., a symbol of our rapidly growing entrepreneurial community in Binghamton.
The summit will bring in top hemp industry leaders from across the country to educate, network, and plan the future of hemp in New York. Guest panelists include; Mike Harinen (Chief Branding Officer at Bluebird Botanicals), Joy Beckerman (President of the Hemp Industries Association), Jason Lauve (Founder of Hemp Cleans), Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Allie Burch (Hospitalist at Cayuga Medical Associates), and more. Panel discussions will be hosted on topics such as CBD; Farming Practices; Food, Fiber, and Future Market Opportunities; and Public Policy. Companies and organizations from across New York will be displaying their products and services to educate, network, and advertise to the public.
The hemp industry is new and full of opportunities for the Southern Tier, from retail to farming and manufacturing. There are over 25,000 industrial uses for the hemp plant. Local leaders are anticipating an economic boon in Binghamton and across the state.
