Five inducted into Maine-Endwell Sports Hall of Fame

The Maine-Endwell All Sports Booster Club welcomed back five outstanding Spartan athletes for induction into the Maine-Endwell Sports Hall of Fame. The 27th Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held on Jan. 25 at the High School.

The 2018-19 inductees are: James Anastos, Class of 1992, basketball, baseball; Taylor Kucharski, Class of 2008, soccer, basketball; William Murtha, Class of 1972, football, baseball, wrestling, coach; Sara Sanders Ruch, Class of 2007, field hockey, lacrosse, basketball; Stephanie Sanders, Class of 2007, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball.

Each inductee received a plaque which now hangs in the hallway of fame outside of the HS gym. Formal inductions took place during a ceremony between the junior varsity and varsity basketball games. A reception was held for the honorees and their guests following the event.

In addition to the All Sports Booster Club, the event was sponsored by the Maine-Endwell Athletic Department and the Maine-Endwell School District.
