Congressman Anthony Brindisi (NY-22) spoke tonight at the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing on veteran suicide, asking Department of Veterans Affairs and other administration officials about ways to ensure veterans have access to life-saving mental health care.

This was the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee’s first hearing this year on veteran suicide prevention. Tomorrow, the Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing on Brindisi’s Support for Suicide Prevention Coordinators Act (H.R. 2333), among other suicide prevention legislation.
