United Methodist Homes Hilltop Campus holds memory summit

United Methodist Homes held an event today to help seniors dealing with a common issue.

The Assisted Living Facility hosted its first ever Memory Summit at the Hilltop Campus in Johnson City.

The goal was to provide education and resources for those who are affected by or suffer from Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other forms of memory loss.

Vendors such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Memory Makers and Silver Linings Golden Memory Care were in attendance.

Assisted Living Admissions Program Director Sharon Hauver says they wanted to create a one stop shop for those in need.

Hauver says they hope to make it an annual event that will continue to grow.

She also says holding the event now served as a good warm up for the Alzheimer’s Walk taking place at Binghamton University on April 27th
