Union-Endicott Little League team heads to Bronx after capturing Section 1 East Championship

A local Little League team is heading to the Bronx in hopes of making it all the way to Williamsport.

The Union-Endicott 12A All-Stars were able to capture the Section 1 East championship Thursday, beating Fayetteville-Manlius, 7-2.

After losing to F-M on Monday, U-E had to win three-straight games to take home the title.

Now, U-E is on to the New York state tournament, which will be played at Van Nest Park in the Bronx.

Their first game is against Webster on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Should U-E win the state title, they’d have to get through the Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament to punch their ticket to the Little League World Series.
