Town of Union Results

BINGHAMTON, NY - Town of Union Voters selected who will be on the general election ballot for Town Supervisor in November.

On the democratic side of the things former Endicott Trustees Rick Materese and Frank Palmisano faced off.

The democratic voters sided with Materese who along with serving as a trustee spent time on the county legislature. 

Materese garnered over 59 percent of the vote compared to Palmisano's 39 percent. 

He says he believes his work in the community over the past 4 decades helped contribute to the victory.

Rick Materese says "I think through my background, all the things I've done throughout my career the last 42 years. I've done a lot in Endicott, I've done a lot in the County and I believe people know me and that's what helped get me votes.

On the republican side Frank Bertoni edged out Kenneth DelBianco in a very close race.

Bertoni squeaked out a win with over 50 percent of the vote to DelBianco's 48 percent. 

Materese and Bertoni will face of in the general election for Town of Union Supervisor in November.
