April 22 – Fred Bloomingstock may have been the most unlucky man ever.

Poor Fred was hit by an eastbound train on April 22nd, 1909.

He was able to regain his footing only to be struck again by a Westbound train only seconds later.

Looking at the Broome County Corner’s report from 1909, over 31 people died by train between 1903 and 1909.
