BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The search continues for a missing man believed to be in the Susquehanna River.

He has been identified as 47 year old David Bower of Endicott. An investigation by Endicott police revealed that Bower was on the northern bank of the Susquehanna River in the early morning hours yesterday and is believed to have fallen off an approximately 10-foot high ledge into the river.

Police set up a command post at Grippen Park yesterday to begin the search. The search continued as New York State Police SCUBA team members assisted Endicott Police by patrolling the river with sonar.

Endicott Police are having difficulty locating appropriate next-of-kin and request that any relatives or close personal friends of Bower please contact the department at 785-3341.
