The Care Compass Network


An organization looking to transform New York’s healthcare system discussed the progress it made in 2018.

 The Care Compass Network held it’s December stakeholder meeting.

Care Compass Network is a non-profit that looks to simplify health care for individuals through care coordination and community-focused care and education.

The organization collaborates with many health systems in the Southern Tier including UHS, Lourdes and the Family Health Network. 

Executive Director Mark Ropiecki says they were able to touch over 97,000 lives in 2018.

He says they put a heavy focus on preventative care. 

Ropiecki says they were able to reduce avoidable hospitalizations in adults by 22% and in pediatrics by 49%. 

This year’s stakeholder meeting had over 130 attendees from hospitals, providers and community organizations across the area.

There were also some elected officials present including State Senator Fred Akshar
