If you’re searching for a way to cool down this fourth of July there’s now a free option.
Mayor Rich David announced that the City of Binghamton will waive its fees for use of the City pools until Friday.
David says the decision was made to encourage families to cool off at the public pools during the sustained high temperatures this holiday week.
Normal fees to use the pools are 25 cents for children and 50 cents for adults.
The city pools are open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
The five parks in Binghamton with pools include Cheri Lindsey, Webster Street, Rec, Fairview and MacArthur.
