Once again Super Cooper will look to Save the Day for families in need.
Super Cooper Saves the Day’s 2nd Annual Cooperpoolza will be taking place February 24th from 1 to 4 at Touch of Texas on Front Street.
The non-profit was created in memory of Cooper Busch, a 4 year-old Chenango Bridge boy with Down Syndrome that died after a long battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
This year’s event will benefit the St.Baldrick’s foundation, the largest private funder of Childhood cancer research grants.
Organization founder Tara Busch says they want to help families just like how the community supported them through Cooper’s battle. “We’re trying to take the momentum of support for Cooper and our family and turn it into support for our organization we started Super Cooper Saves the Day. We’ve been doing a variety of different things to help people locally in our community from buying back to school shoes to taking field trips for special needs basketball teams.”
The event will include a pasta dinner, basket raffles, door prizes, kids games and live entertainment.
People will also be able to get their heads shaved to raise money for St.Baldrick’s.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.
They will go on sale next week at the Southern Tier Harley Davidson and the Subway in Hillcrest.
