Rowdy the Rumble Pony visits Family Enrichment Network

A friendly, upbeat and team-spirited pony was on the loose to bring smiles to kids in Johnson City.

Rowdy the Rumble Pony stopped by the Family Enrichment Network located at 24 Cherry Street in JC Friday morning.

He gave out high fives and hugs for all of the kids who came to see him.

He also promoted a special night coming up on June 22, where all of the FEN clients and their families can attend the Rumble Ponies game for free.

The event is organized by Policy Council, the governing body of Head Start at Family Enrichment Network.

Policy Council Chairperson Denise Lee says every deserves a fun night out.

“A lot of these families that are part of Family Enrichment Network are in an economic class that may not allow them to have a night out at a baseball game.  Policy Council thought it would be something fun and different for families to do,” said Policy Council Chairperson Denise Lee.

Rowdy posed for individual and class pictures for the enthusiastic group of kids this morning.

Lee says Policy Council is also looking to plan a night out with the Binghamton Devils next season.
