Retrievers down Bearcats 68-49

The BU men’s squad was down in Baltimore to face the Retrievers.

Of course, last year, UMBC became the first team to knock off the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, beating #1 Virginia.

First quarter, Sam Sessoms finds Caleb Stewart in the corner.

He fakes the three, takes it in, and floats it home.

Stewart was on fire early.

He wound up finishing with 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the team in both categories.

Sessoms got his, finishing with 15 points.

One of the nation’s best scoring freshmen.

But, three Retrievers scored in double firgues, including Joe Sherburne with 15.

The Bearcats fall to the Retrievers, 68-49.

BU remains on the road for their next game when they head to Vermont on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
