Investigators discovered recordings made by Michael Cohen that included then-Presidential candidate Donald Trump talking about making a payment to a former Playboy model, according to multiple reports.

Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, allegedly recorded a conversation with Trump two months before the election.

The FBI seized the recording this year during a raid on Cohen’s office. The Justice Department was investigating Cohen’s involvement in paying women hush money to keep quiet about alleged affairs with Trump.

Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, confirmed to the New York Times that Trump had discussed the payments with Cohen on the tape but said the payment was ultimately never made. He said the recording was less than two minutes and demonstrated that the president had done nothing wrong.

The Playboy model in question is reportedly Karen McDougal, who has previously claimed that she had an affair with Trump.

The White House previously denied McDougal’s claims.
