Red Cross sets up emergency shelter to help those displaced by flooding

BINGHAMTON, NY – In response to the flooding that damaged many homes in Greater Binghamton Sunday night, the Red Cross is offering a free place to stay.

An emergency shelter has been created at St. Mary’s Recreation Center in Binghamton.

The shelter will provide temporary housing for those who are displaced by the ongoing rain.

Additional thunderstorms with the possibility of heavy down pours are forecasted for tonight and tomorrow.
