Students from across the area took a look at some potential career paths recently.
The Raymond Corporation held its annual Manufacturing Day Celebration on Friday.
Over 250 students from more than 20 schools traveled out the headquarters in Greene for the event.
There they learned about a wide selection of career opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.
Raymond CEO Mike Field says the day serves as a great tool for students thinking about their future.
“There’s a lot of excitement that they have. That excitement is both good for us as well it is for them to understand what they can do, what kind of jobs there are. We like to see it as giving back to the community a little bit from the stand point of helping educate them on what jobs are like in the real world and the types of things they can do right here in Greene New York,” Field says.
The schedule for the day included presentations from Raymond employees, a tour of the facility and hands-on demonstrations with some of the equipment.
Students also had the chance to talk one on one with Raymond employees to ask whatever questions they had.
