A hotel located at the gateway to the Finger Lakes is indulging its guests during February, The Month of Love.
Pampered relaxation is what the Radisson Hotel Corning is promising its guests during its Month of Love. It’s offering a variety of a special enhancements for those celebrating Valentine’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries or those preparing to pop the question.
General Manager Michele Donegan says, “The hotel is offering our wedding specialist Kristen to help you make the perfect proposal. So, you give us your unique ideas on how you would like to propose, and we will make sure and follow through and set that up for you.”
Or choose from a menu of offerings including an in-suite candlelit dinner, breakfast in bed and a special late check-out. The prix fixe dinner offers a selection of steak, salmon or gourmet burger plus your choice of champagne, be it Finger Lakes, Asti or Dom Perignon, all served in the privacy of your guest room with your own dedicated server.

And there are love potion elixirs such as Love At First Bite, Rose Petal Sangria and Love Potion #9, that can be made to order by the resident mixologist. Plus finish your meal with an aphrodisiac dessert including red velvet cheesecake bites and dark chocolate pudding.
Donegan says, “People just love the intimacy of the hotel. We have a lot of long-serving employees. So, when you come here, it’s like coming home.”
One of those employees is Su Carpenter, who has been a waitress at Grill 1-2-5 for 33 years.
Waitress Su Carpenter says, “I enjoy the customers. I love to see their faces. I love to see them come back. I’ve gotten very close to customers and I think that we excel at what we do.”
Other amenities include suites with 2-person jacuzzi tubs, an indoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, fitness room and the Steuben Bar which is very popular with the local after work crowd. Plus, the Radisson Corning Hotel is on the doorstep of the historic Gaffer District. In fact, the hotel straddles the pedestrian portion of Market Street.
Donegan says, “A wide array of bars, restaurants, shopping, glass artesian shops as well as outlet shopping and specialty shops. So, it’s just a very fun, walkable community.”
And with a public outdoor skating rink next door and the world famous Corning Museum of Glass nearby, there’s plenty to keep couples busy, if they’re interested in leaving their room.
The Month of Love promotion begins this Friday and runs through the end of February.
