President Trump raises money for Tenney in Utica

News

President Donald Trump is in Utica this evening, raising money for the re-election campaign of 22nd District Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.

Here’s a look at Trump supporters in Utica earlier this afternoon awaiting his arrival.

The President is holding a closed door roundtable discussion and fundraiser that is closed to the media and general public and open to only supporters and those who have contributed to Tenney’s campaign.

Admission to the private event is $15,000.

Supporters and protesters have been gathering for hours with signs and chants.

Both sides expect upwards of 1,000 people to gather outside of the Hotel Utica where the fundraiser is taking place.

Tenney says she would still like to convince Trump to make another visit to her district and hold a large campaign-style rally.

Tenney is in a tough re-election battle this November with Democrat Anthony Brindisi.
