A hallucinating Horseheads man has been arrested after causing a disturbance inside a McDonald’s.
The Village of Hancock Police responded to a report of 40-year-old Braden Rose stabbing the floor of the fast food restaurant.
Officers were able to disarm Rose without incident and it was determined he had been hallucinating, believing he was being attacked by wild animals.
An investigation found Rose had ingested drugs while at McDonald’s and had in his possession 1 oz. of cocaine, 1.7 oz of heroin as well as various pills and hypodermic needles.
Upon release from the hospital, Rose was charged with 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree considered felonies, 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree considered misdemeanors, and 1 count of criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument also a misdemeanor.
Rose was arraigned in the Village of Hancock Court and sent to the Delaware County Jail on $25,000 bail.
The street value of the drugs seize is about $10,000.
