BATH, N.Y. (18 NEWS) Local rescue crews are on standby in case the situation escalates in Western New York.
The Steuben Regional Technical Rescue Team’s Swift Water Rescue and Building Collapse units have been requested to be on standy for possible deployment since Saturday morning to the Buffalo area for the flooding and heavy snow due to the warm weather after the devastating snow fall. The team is in ready mode and ready to respond immediately upon request.
The teams have not yet been requested to respond as a rescue unit but several members from around the Corning and Bath area have been there for the past few days as Storm Response Units to help with the high magnitude of calls in that area.
