Despite five interceptions, Sean McDermott has not decided to pull the plug on the Nathan Peterman experience… yet.
During his weekly Monday press conference, McDermott said he’s, “still evaluating” the quarterback position.
Adding that he’s confident in Nathan and his, “mental toughness.”
The Bills have dropped three straight games and blown out in the last two.
“We’re building, this is part of the growth process. It burns. It burns hard, you don’t want the result that we had yesterday,” said McDermott.
When asked again on Monday if he regretted the decision to start the rookie, McDermott repeated what he said after that game, saying “I don’t regret the decision, I regret the result.”
“One game is not going to define Nathan or his career.”
McDermott said that he will talk to the team leadership counsel which he puts a lot of stock in but ultimately the decision on who will start under center will be his.
“As a decision maker, when you waiver that’s when you get in trouble. You gotta stay listening, I’m listening to the people I trust.”
