A local organization is preparing for another year of community support.

The United Way of Broome County hosted their annual Community Campaign Kick-Off for the 2018-2019 season.

The organization shared the impact of their last campaign along with the goals for the upcoming one.

Executive Director Jaqueline Gerchman says that their data shows the United Way impacted over 57,000 people in the community across the 54 projects and programs they funded in 2017-2018.

She says they believe they can exceed those numbers with this campaign.

“We’re focusing specifically on our impact. We’re focus on our strategic priorities of health, education and income. Also focusing on working with the community for living empowered lives,” said Gerchman.

The Broome County United Way is partnered with 32 organizations in the community including the Boys and Girls Club, the Broome County Urban League and the YWCA.
