The Police Chief in Ithaca is being credited with saving a man’s life.
Chief Pete Tyler was the first to arrive on the scene of a two-car crash yesterday along Route 13 east of the city.
New York State Police say 54 year-old Robert Gelinas, Junior of Ithaca failed to yield the right of way striking another vehicle.
Tyler found Galinas bleeding from his head and not breathing and began life saving measures until emergency responders arrived.
