Republican Congressional Candidate Claudia Tenney received an endorsement from a nationally known radio and television host this afternoon.
Conservative Sean Hannity backed Tenney in her bid to unseat two-term Congressman Richard Hanna.
Tenney is a small business owner and has been in the state assembly for two two-terms.
Tenney also has received backing from the Chenango County Tea Party Patriots, Mohawk Valley Patriots, the Southern Tier Tea Party and Tea Party Patriots of Tioga County.
She says she’s grateful for the support and hopes Hannity’s recommendation will get through to residents who are listening to his shows.
“I just appeared on his radio show and he endorsed me. I’m very proud to have that as well since he is obviously a nationally known conservative commentator. It’s an honor,” said Tenney.
Gilda Ward is the local coordinator of the Chenango County Tea Party Patriots.
She says Tenney stands behind true conservative values.
“I have been very impressed with what I have observed with Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney. She is the highest rated conservative in Albany and votes the right way on all of the issues that we feel are important,” said Ward.
The Republican Congressional primary is next Tuesday, June 24th.
