A power outage has canceled classes on the SUNY Broome main campus for a second day.
A failure of the main transformer along North College Drive yesterday morning caused the school to lose power.
At first, a temporary transformer was brought in, but then the school was unable to secure the necessary terminal connectors.
So, NYSEG has bought in a portable substation and power is currently being restored.
The Student Village dorm on campus was not affected and online classes and the Owego satellite location continued as normal.
